light ci, lint, test (checks.yml) Stays on ubuntu-latest: (none) All three jobs are tiny file-existence / markdown-link / SVG-XML validators that finish in seconds. Python 3 (used by `test`) is preinstalled on smithy. No sudo, apt, or container deps.

None. Python 3 is preinstalled on smithy, and grep / test are part
